Artitec Proline Architectural Hardware

Artitec Proline is tested according to the EN1906 and received the highest Class 4, for which it has been certified.

What is the EN1906 standard?

The EN1906 standard is a testingprocedure, which grades architectural hardware in a certain Class.
During opening and closing of doors, doorhandles have to catch all horizontal, vertical and rotational forces with it's construction within the backplate or -rose.

A couple of very important testitems:
• operation time
• tolerance
• durability
• strength
• corrosion resistance

Class 4 = Highfrequent (very often used) usage on doors at projects with regular chance of violent use or even abuse of doorhandles. (for instance: soccerstadions, oilriggs, public toilets, detention houses). The Artitec series Proline and Proline Slimface are tested and certified according Class 4 including the EN1634-2 fire resistance test. Proline is also available tested and certified according the DIN18273 fire resistance requirements.

Class 3 = Highfrequent (often used) usage by persons with less caring sense, which creates a good chance of wrong usage (for instance: public buildings) The Artitec series Permafix, Eurofix Pro-X, Eurofix Premium and Eurofix Quattro are tested and certified according Class 3.

Class 2 = Moderate frequent usage by persons with some sense of caring which creates a minor chance of wrong usage. (for instance: interior doors within office buildings) The Artitec series Eurofix Classic and Eurofix Slimface are tested and certified according Class 2.

Class 1 = Low frequent usage by persons with a caring sense, which creates a very small cahnce of wrong usage (for instance: residential homes)
